I work with individuals and specialize in treating OCD, Anxiety, and Trauma. I take a compassionate and empathetic approach to help you identify and move towards your goals and values. I will help you understand why your current coping tools were strategies that kept you safe in the past, but no longer serve you. I will help you develop more adaptive ways to achieve your goals. I am warm, non-judgmental, and my goal is to provide a safe space to allow you to move toward changing what you can and accepting what you cannot.

I help individuals age 16+ become more deeply in touch with their core emotions and core sense of self. I do this with a model of therapy called AEDP, which guides us moment by moment to how feelings show up in your body as we process experiences from your past and present. Staying attuned to this naturally unfolding somatic process accompanied by a therapist who feels truly safe can bring forth emotions' innate capacities to heal. AEDP works well for a wide range of issues, including: interpersonal trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and loneliness, among others.

I draw from a range of experiential and evidence-based approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy ( AEDP), psychodynamic therapy, and expressive arts therapies.
You might have had a bad break-up, lost a friend or loved one, or are just struggling to cope with the daily motions, seeking greater insight about changing patterns or navigating a confusing time in your life. You might be carrying the weight of so many untold stories and unfulfilled dreams within you, buried beneath years of struggle. You might be moving through life, feeling so fundamentally different, flawed, and alone at times. You might be wondering, "When can I finally breathe easier?" I see you, and I'm here. Through the questions you've been navigating as you journey into the unknowns of your self and your life,

Trained by Psychedelic Therapy Boston, I work collaboratively with a prescriber to offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). This modality utilizes the power of a medicine-induced, non-ordinary state and can offer clients some space from the parts of themselves that are overly critical, judgmental or are just feeling really stuck. In between medicine sessions I provide psychotherapeutic integration sessions in which clients can capitalize on the benefits of this altered-state experience and weave the insights more concretely into their daily lives.

I am a psychologist who specializes in eating disorders, body image concerns, mindfulness and compassion, and relationship based therapies. I enjoy working collaboratively with a client, couple, or family to understand the role and function of different personal difficulties. Together we can work to see how someone's struggles relate to their larger goals, hopes, and motivations. I use approaches to therapy that focus on understanding the role and functions of emotions and behaviors, understanding someone's experience in the context of relationships, and utilizing strengths and competencies in the therapy process.

I work with individuals to strengthen their sense of choice and meaning in their lives. I believe we can emerge more whole when we get curious about the parts of us that seem inglorious. I do not believe in oversimplifying the human condition into "good" or "bad" because there is more truth in the spectrum. I want therapy to be accessible, helpful and grounded in the reality that we live our day-to-day lives outside the therapy office. Good therapy extends beyond one hour a week; good therapy informs how we relate to, engage with and move through the real world.

I believe we all have an innate capacity for healing. However, chronic experiences of anxiety, fear, & loneliness can threaten our sense of safety & impede our ability to heal. This may make managing big emotions alone feel daunting, especially if our past experiences have discouraged us from doing so. As your therapist, I will support you in navigating these changing tides. Together, we will confront and understand these wounds and sore spots, creating a safe, & supported space to explore your feelings & experiences, fostering growth & resilience. I will walk with you, side-by-side, until you are ready to run on your own.

Emotions like anxiety, sadness and shame are so overwhelming that it feels like your body could shatter from all of your feelings. A painful childhood, challenging relationships, loss or another distressing experience has left you feeling hopeless. You've never been able to explain what feeling abandoned is like, or why it's so hard to trust, so you feel more isolated in being misunderstood. You have some regrets on how you've responded or acted in the past while you were just trying to survive or feel connection.

AEDP Therapists

Who is AEDP therapy for?

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is for adults who have experienced emotional pain in the past that, because it has not been adequately addressed and processed, interferes with current functioning. The problems might manifest in a number of different ways, from excessive anger to relationship difficulties to PTSD to eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and depression. They may also be accompanied by physiological symptoms. AEDP helps people accept and digest challenging emotional experiences.

Why do people need AEDP?

People need AEDP as a way to manage distressing emotions—including anger, shame, and guilt—that in some way hamper the ability to function and form satisfying relationships in the present. The therapist-client relationship is believed to provide corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate positive changes in brain function, forge pathways for processing traumatic experiences, and allow resolution of emotional pain.

What happens in AEDP therapy?

Once individuals have established a strong bond with the AEDP therapist and the therapist has established a safe and secure environment, clients are encouraged to explore their most painful emotional experiences. They may be asked to pay attention to disquieting body sensations as well as to psychological discomfort. Individuals learn how to process emotions, rather than avoid them. Through the strength of the therapist-client bond, each session is intended to provide a powerful positive experience for individuals, enabling growth.

What problems does AEDP treat?

AEDP is intended to treat the unprocessed emotional pain caused by earlier distressing experiences, which commonly includes behavioral avoidance of current situations and experiences for fear that they will reactivate painful feelings. Emotional pain and avoidant behavior play a role in a wide array of mental health conditions, which is why AEDP is applied to the treatment of a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and eating disorders.
