I work with individuals to strengthen their sense of choice and meaning in their lives. I believe we can emerge more whole when we get curious about the parts of us that seem inglorious. I do not believe in oversimplifying the human condition into "good" or "bad" because there is more truth in the spectrum. I want therapy to be accessible, helpful and grounded in the reality that we live our day-to-day lives outside the therapy office. Good therapy extends beyond one hour a week; good therapy informs how we relate to, engage with and move through the real world.
I aim to notice what usually goes unnoticed, to call attention to what’s been ignored and to guide awareness to what needs curiosity. My approach is curious, warm, adaptive and experiential. I pull from attachment-based neuroscience and trauma-informed practices. I have experience working with complex childhood trauma and its ongoing developmental impact.
I have great admiration for anyone struggling with the complexity of navigating the human experience. It's not easy. I believe in re-interpreting "symptoms" as adaptive strategies working on your behalf. I help individuals undo the rigidity of how they may see themselves, finding the places they may have already outgrown.
