I've been working in the helping profession since 2008 and have been counseling people since 2011. Over the years, I've worked in residential treatment, hospitals, community mental health, addiction services, private practice, leadership, and higher education. Those experiences have given me the opportunity to help thousands of people navigate anxiety, relationship struggles, trauma, addiction, grief, major life transitions, and many of the everyday challenges life brings.
I've also had the privilege of teaching graduate counseling students for seven years and speaking at trainings and conferences around the country. I trained under Dr. John Townsend, author of Boundaries, and continue to pursue advanced training because I believe good counselors should never stop learning.
My education includes a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Counseling from Huntington University, along with a post-master's certificate in Addictions Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. I'm also completing training through Ball State University to become a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC).
