I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years of experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings. During these wonderful 30 years I have had the privilege of being a Clinical Director and therapist for adolescents and adults in trauma recovery experiencing dual diagnoses with mood disorders and substance abuse. For the past several years I have enjoyed working at Hero’s Program of New Beginnings where I work with active duty and military veterans. My areas of focus are working with ages 15+ and adults dealing with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, addictions, mood disorders, self-esteem, OCD and moral injury.

I meet my clients where they are on their journey. My job is to support, encourage, and empower you. The healing journey is multi-faceted, multi-layered, and often unpredictable. However, there are signposts and milestones along the way and I combine my education, training, and skillset to help my clients journey with more ease and success. I help my clients process and overcome the effects of trauma using EMDR and somatic therapies. Allowing ourselves to trust and more fully embody our true self is a process of opening, letting go, receiving, and taking courageous steps.

Julie has a strong desire to work with tweens, teens and the adults who support them. She also has a passion for working with caregivers, healthcare professionals and those living with extraordinary circumstances like chronic illnesses or disabilities. Julie supports her clients in their desire to foster healthy relationships by means of empowering her clients to navigate, prioritize and effectively communicate for a maximized healthy life balance.
