Christi Moreno is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Comfort and Joy Therapy. She received her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP program and enjoys working with children (7+), adolescents, and adults of all ages. She enters every counseling relationship with a person-centered approach and uses a variety of counseling techniques and theories as appropriate for specific client situations. Techniques and theories could include elements from Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Adlerian Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, DBT, Art Therapy, and many others.

Counseling provides individuals with hope and encourages growth. My desire is to walk beside individuals to offer insight and healing. I approach counseling with genuine connection. I work with many individuals with Trauma, Life Situations, Grief, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Sexual Abuse, and Relationship Difficulties.

Therapy has helped me manage my own struggles and I believe wholeheartedly that everyone can benefit. My goal is to offer clients a safe and empathetic space to share, grow intrapersonal awareness, and hopefully overcome or cope with grief, anxiety, trauma, and more. I have a passion for helping people and want every person to feel heard and understood.

I believe that everyone is individual, and that one type of therapy does not work for everyone. I am highly trained in many modalities including Traditional Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and many others. My personal belief is that the most important part of therapy is meeting someone where they are emotionally without judgment! Healing work cannot be done when someone feels judged or does not trust me.

For the last 30 years I've been privileged to work with courageous clients as they face traumatic life events, stand up to addictions, grieve betrayals and losses, and find freedom to live a more enjoyable confident life. I have a lot of respect for anyone willing to enter into a counseling process with a commitment to growth and change. The counseling process takes a lot of work and determination but I have seen long lasting results as clients have faced uncomfortable feelings and beliefs and literally rewired their brains! I can't imagine a more rewarding job.

Sandhya Sharma is a South Asian Indian LPC and certified addictions specialist who works with: Adults, Teens, LGBTQ community, and International Communities. Sandhya will help create a safe and supportive therapy environment and work with you collaboratively to both accurately assess your strengths as well as areas of struggle. She will develop a treatment plan with you to help you facilitate behavioral changes that more successfully meet your goals. Sandhya will help you look at the ways you have been currently coping with life’s problems and help you to develop new strategies from a strengths-based perspective. 

Practice is accepting new clients at this time. Counseling begins with having the courage to take the first step toward change. Jodi's initial focus is to provide a safe, trusting environment to explore avenues of growth and development. Using a combination of techniques and activities, she strives to meet the individual needs of her clients. Jodi's experiences within the counseling field have allowed her to work in a variety of settings helping clients of diverse backgrounds, ages, and presenting concerns. Jodi earned a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Oklahoma and her M.S. in Counseling at Southern Methodist University.

I am a relationship therapist, which includes the relationship we all have with ourselves. My goal is to help you feel safe as you discuss your most difficult and emotionally charged thoughts and feelings. l am excellent at identifying the deeper issues and I give homework that is focused on symptom relief. Arguments and heated discussions between two or more people allow me to see and understand the underlying dynamics that keep people stuck. I am good at separating the issues and empowering each individual which allows the relationship to grow and change in a more satisfying way.

I love working with people with ADHD. As a person with ADHD myself, I recognize the varied impact it has on your life. I love working with teens, young adults, and adults. I have worked with people with new ADHD diagnoses as well as longstanding diagnoses. Perhaps your life has been filled with the phrase "Why don't you just..." followed by some very unhelpful advice.
