We all have brokenness, and most of us want to transcend those parts of us and grow into whole humans capable of loving and being loved. I received both my BS in Nutrition and my MA in Counseling from Bastyr University. My passion is in preventing and treating eating disorders. I have specializing in treating eating disorders for over 10 years. I spent two years working for a residential treatment center and then two years designing and running a partial hospitalization program for eating disorders in Seattle. I have worked with a wide variety of eating disorders as well as helping clients with disordered eating; i.e. chronic history of yo-yo dieting, weight management, emotional overeating, sugar addiction, dissatisfaction with body image, trauma, and more.

As we travel our journey, there are times that we need extra help and support. Especially, to move through the rough and uncomfortable times. In therapy, I believe it is important to meet people at what stage they are in while making that journey. This allows us to build the right tool box to equip them for success. I have over 20 years of experience working with adults, teenagers, and adolescents. My experience has been around helping individuals with anxiety, depression, parenting, behavior management, trauma, and other life stressors.

My ideal client would be searching for a counselor who is genuine, empathetic, unconditionally holds them in positive regard, and can connect to their experiences. They would have a goal of learning new skills, working on behavioral and cognitive change, and are willing to look at multiple solutions to achieve their goals. They would want to strive for success as they see it and want support in removing any barriers for a better and healthier future.
