My area of focus has been child development, family transitions, marital counselling, and Post Traumatic Stress (PTS). Specialty areas include addressing parenting/behavioral issues with young children, marital conflict, and any individual or dyad working with trauma. Client-centered and culturally sensitive treatment is always a goal of mine. Individual talk therapy and working within the context of building relationships are typical modalities client would expect from my services. Trauma therapy is often conducted individually.
My work is heavily influenced by the leading clinicians: Dan Seigel, Cline and Fay, Bessel Van Der Kolk, The Gottmans, Sue Johnson, and more. I also approach therapy from a systemic approach. My intentions have been to help folks undergoing difficult transitions and/or experienced trauma and I have centered my training around these topics.
Fun Facts: I am a fun, energetic, and genuine person. I love being on the water or in the mountains; was a mechanic; Army Veteran; and originally from the East Coast. Most importantly, I love my job and am truly honored to those who allow me to provide services to them.
