My clinical experience includes treatment of culturally and socio-economically diverse adult population with range of diagnosis in outpatient and inpatient settings. My treatment experience includes individuals, couples, family, and groups utilizing Brief Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Structural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR. Areas addressed in private practice consists of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, adjustment disorders, personality disorders, self esteem, body image, family conflicts, and bereavement.

I provide a safe, and supportive atmosphere for individuals, couples and families to do deep personal work.

My specialty is building relationships and making clients feel safe in a space to share. I focus on 1:1 ,couples, families and groups. I am always looking to balance solution focused sessions with underlying clinical issues. Helping clients feel like they can get some relief early on in therapy is a priority. Anxiety, depression, addiction, family relation issues, life transitions and Covid are just some areas of work are that are my specialty. Whether you are comfortable free flow talking or need a more interview style, I am comfortable doing both. I also specialize in young adult and dual diagnosis.

Sometimes it feels like you put your heart and soul into relationships and keep getting hurt. The times you’ve needed support the most, you’ve been left stranded and alone. You ask yourself: "What’s going on?" "Why does it feel like I keep attracting the same type of people into my life?". These are valid questions that many of us bounce around in our head but don’t always have the opportunity to process and understand. As a therapist, I am rooted in a cognitive approach based on insight. However, I also incorporate a psychodynamic, humanistic-existential, and trauma-focused perspective in my work. Kids in our communities today are stressed. Major social issues from racial and environmental injustice to economic precarity cast a daily shadow over their lives. The social dislocation and isolation of the pandemic has made a difficult situation worse. This situation has led to an epidemic of anxiety and depression among young people. More subtly it has also led to feelings of fragility and powerlessness even among kids who are “doing well”. Parents, themselves stressed out, overworked, and far from their families of origin want to help but don’t know how.

I am passionate about working with a range of ages from children to adults. All populations are can undergo transitional periods and stages of change that can cause anxiety and extreme stress. Some of my particular areas of interest are: grief, loss, relationships, trauma, attachment, depression, anxiety, substance use, grief, OCD, relationship conflict, and adjustment difficulties. I am EMDR certified and enjoy using this treatment approach to heal clients. Additionally, I enjoy treating athletes and people in the performance industry.
