Examples include mentally recovering after a car or major accident, life transitions, career burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and athletes post career.
Sometimes talking about difficult issues isn’t enough, and it requires special skills to heal through them. Simply put, I help people with symptoms that they cant seem to talk themselves out of.

I work primarily with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I have some limited availability in-person or through Zoom. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy at some point in their lives. Whether you struggle with persistent, troubling thoughts or feelings, are overwhelmed by events that are out of your control or just want to get in touch with a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in your life, therapy can help. In my practice, I provide a safe space where the struggles of daily life can be explored, old wounds can be healed and opportunities for growth and change can be uncovered.

Welcome to my practice. If you are considering psychotherapy for yourself, you and your partner, your family, or a loved one, you may not know what to expect and may be feeling apprehensive, fearful, or overwhelmed. Perhaps you are looking to resolve a particular conflict or trauma in your life, to make sense of a specific situation, and/or to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and any problems or difficulties you may be having. Maybe you are feeling unsatisfied or stuck, not where you imagined you would be - where you think you should be or want to be.

This valuable information helps us make sense of anxiety, trauma, substance use, depression and addictive behaviors.
Our emotional struggles can leave their residue in the mind, body, and spirit, yet they don't have to be a life sentence. I believe that every human being has the innate capacity for healing and wholeness and can transform even the most difficult life experiences, patterns, and beliefs, into sources of embodied wisdom and empowerment. My approach is integrative, culturally-sensitive, and grounded in evidence-based modalities. I collaborate with you to create an individualized holistic treatment plan rooted in understanding how the human nervous system is wired.

Welcome to Accelerated Psychology. I created this practice to offer cutting edge psychotherapies and neuoscientific treatments in a warm and compassionate environment. Integrating neuroscientific and psychotherapeutic treatments is often the most effective path to psychological healing and growth, because the two approaches work synergistically to create a brain state that is most receptive to treatment. For over 25 years, I have specialized in helping those who suffer from mild or severe anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, ADHD, or post-traumatic stress, and helping survivors and witnesses of terror from around the world.

I work with adults, couples, and late teens who struggle with addiction, self esteem, co-dependency, and PTSD.
I believe psychotherapy to be sacred work that can be immensely healing and transformative. But it requires a genuine commitment to confront uncomfortable feelings and beliefs. In my experience, most psychic pain stems from a lack of connection to our authentic selves causing immense suffering that manifests into self-defeating thoughts and addictions, loss of purpose and meaning, and relational trauma. My work with clients is to unravel these self-limiting unconscious processes to gain better insight and live more intentionally with greater purpose and freedom.

Our world's been shaken up in ways we've never imagined. We're understandably anxious, trying to cope. Jobs, family, illness. How do we hold it together? Are you looking for someone to talk to who can walk through this labyrinth with you? I specialize in trauma, perhaps I can help. You may be having problems with your partner, kids or parents-- most significantly with yourself. If your pain is manifesting as panic attacks or addictions, if there's grief or you're in parent/child conflicts at any age, therapy may help. I work with individuals and couples to enhance communication, creativity and a core sense of self.

She is trained in EMDR, a form of therapy that is proven to help individuals with trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and phobias.
As an individual who feels stuck, lost or unfulfilled, you often wonder if you can ever feel peaceful again. You feel like you’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to work – at least for too long. Perhaps you feel like you take one step forward and three steps back – pushing you even deeper into the dark space you’re in. Seeking help from a therapist can seem scary because you want to make sure you choose someone who you truly connect with. What if you could return to a state where life felt happy, fulfilling and clear?

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
