Hi, my name is Abby. I recognize how difficult it can be to ask for help, so congrats on taking this first, brave step towards feeling better. I aim to provide clients a safe space to be their most authentic selves without fear of judgment. I specialize in supporting life transitions, reprocessing traumatic experiences, building feelings of self-worth, and resolving relationship issues. I believe we all have inherent strengths and capabilities, and I hope we can use our time together identifying how to maximize yours.

Starting therapy can be scary! Therapy is a collaborative process that allows me to guide and empower you to resolve issues that are affecting your life. I work with adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and boundary-setting in work and personal life. I provide culturally appropriate services while using your strengths as a starting point. I am queer and trans-affirming and welcome LGBTQAI clients, their families and loved ones.

At times we can feel so overwhelmed by emotions that our natural instinct is to simply shut down. We feel no one understands us and that if we tell someones they will either dismiss it, tell us " just get over it," "why don't you just look at the bright side." Other times, we don’t want to share what we are feeling because we do not want to burden those close to us. This only further validates either that what we are feeling is not important and that nobody cares. When we don’t acknowledge or process the pain we feel, our overwhelmed self may lash out or act in a behavior that is either destructive towards the self or others.
