I have 40 years of experience as a therapist. I've been the director of counseling in two large churches and worship leader in another one. With clients who value faith in Christ, I integrate biblical principles and techniques, including prayer and the use of scriptures. Sylvia K. Neal, MSW, LCSW, PLLC, is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in the field of sexual abuse and trauma. She has worked in this area for over 20 years starting with female adult survivors of sexual abuse and sexual assault and has dedicated much of her work to the area of sexual abuse, incest, perpetration and sexual acting out. She has extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, anger, violence and abuse.

Each human being has a unique journey and has a story to share. A person’s past does not define them, but it can be what drives a person to create beautiful change. My work with individuals has included their experience with processing grief, loss, trauma, hopelessness, uncertainty or loss of an identity. I have also encountered an array of emotional responses to include, relief, happiness, anxiety, shame, love, or anger, each emotion being part of an individual’s journey. I am here to listen without judgement and to help you along your journey. It is important to remember that there is a future and healing can take time.
