I work particularly well with teens and their parents–and have experience working in adolescent residential treatment. I also work well with issues relating to adoption and attachment.

As an Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapist, my efforts focus on accessing that healing and growth by exploring underlying beliefs, wounds, and fears that get in the way of you feeling connected with yourself and the important people in your life.

The issues of our lives are many and varied, and if we focus our efforts on resolving those individual issues, we are not doing anything wrong, but we also are not working at the root. Working at the level of branches and leaves is like fighting the fabled hydra monster, one severed head reveals three more. I am a narcissist survivor. Therapy helped me untangle and reassign responsibility in my experiences. I understand the pain of emotional abuse, single motherhood, divorce, trauma and the heartache of feeling alone and unimportant. Life gets hard and unfair.
