Hello! My name is MaryAnn Paligo, LCSW. I have lived in Colorado for 15 years and love it here! I am originally from Utah. I grew up on a dairy farm in south-central Utah, and then studied Psychology at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. I then earned my Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. My husband and I have five children and I have always loved being around children. I love working with kids in all aspects, but especially in helping them learn to handle big emotions and big situations in life.

I'm so glad you're here. I specialize in working with anxious adults and college students/athletes who are struggling with feelings of insecurity, overwhelm, and paralyzing thoughts of never being good enough. I have been able to work with many clients with a variety of issues. I utilize and have trainings in most research based approaches including EMDR, DBT, IFS, and ACT among a few. I am able to work with clients with depression, Anxiety, and PTSD along with other life events and decisions.

Katie Beamer, LPC, or Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, practicing since 2016. She has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Human Resource Management, a Master of Arts is Forensic Psychology, and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Katie has worked in numerous mental health backgrounds over the last ten years and her passion lies in helping people find their strengths to overcome trauma and life’s various hardships. Katie believes there are many different approaches to working through challenges and the best fit varies greatly with each person.

My approach to mental health is client-centered. My areas of focus are substance use and addiction, trauma, and retirement from sport. It is my priority to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. My goal is to work collaboratively to explore your concerns, identify strengths, and develop strategies for positive change. Choosing a mental health professional is a personal decision, and I am honored that you're considering me to be a part of your journey. I am available for in-person sessions in Denver, CO, and I offer virtual session across Colorado.

My work is about helping clients understand their histories and how they relate to current functioning. If we look deeply enough, everything makes sense. I remind clients there is nothing fundamentally wrong with them they can heal and make great progress. I assist people struggling with depression, trauma and relationship issues in discharging long harbored stress and trauma. EMDR and somatic therapies allow the body's natural healing mechanisms to calm the central nervous system and facilitate more peaceful, healthier living. Working holistically with both traditional and somatic interventions can achieve profound results.

It is not easy to seek support and I am honored to be considered as someone who could help. I work with individuals & couples with a range of issues using both short and long-term therapy. As a Psychologist, I am trained to work with various issues related to well-being and distress. A few of my specialty areas include trauma, sexual concerns, depression, anxiety, relational work, infertility concerns and perinatal/postpartum depression and working with therapists. Overall, my approach is holistic and relational; I give the utmost attention to the therapeutic relationship as well as how people relate to others in their lives.
