I incorporate practices that work with balancing the nervous system through a psychodynamic approach incorporating Gestalt therapy, EMDR, Synergetic Play Therapy, art, somatic practices and neuroscience among other modalities. More and more people are having trouble knowing who they are or where they belong in life. What we were taught growing up or what we learn from society doesn't make sense or apply any longer. Because of this, we have difficulties from depression to questioning our own belief system. It may appear as confusion, anxiety, anger, or anything that disrupts our day-to-day life. When we feel this way it is a hurt or loss that is almost impossible to describe. My type of counseling presents people with an opportunity to understand why and how they think and feel the way they do and to go deeper than they could have possibly imagined.

I have built a specialized practice integrating my clinical skills and credentials with my broad life experiences in corporate communication and product management in a Fortune 500 Corporation, commercial design, teaching, and owning a small business. I focus on young professionals who are facing relationship, social, academic, mental health, and professional issues, to increase self-awareness and make better informed decisions. I counsel with parents of young adults who want to address issues of autonomy, accountability, finances, and boundaries. Each stage of life offers its own unique challenges, and I will work with you to alleviate your symptoms and achieve the goals you have set for yourself. I am competent working with individuals suffering from social anxiety, generalized anxiety, depression, anger management issues, low self-worth, and abuse. I also work with clients experiencing divorce, break-ups, physical ailments, and life changes.

I strive to empower my clients to be their most amazing, vibrant, and truest selves. It is normal to struggle but we don't need to suffer. We're often on the right path when we feel lost. This shows us we are aware and open. We are not hard wired for change but we ARE innately predisposed to search for possibilities that support our values, goals, and dreams. I see my clients as creative, capable and whole. We live in a society that is focused on external “success” and appearance and this can create an internal chaos and disconnection from that which truly feeds the spirit. The good news is that we don’t have to live this way.
