Hi there! My name is Dr. Ana Alicia Potthast, DSW, LCSW, LCDC. I have a passion for mental health care and substance abuse treatment, and I have extensive experience and training in behavioral health, diagnostics, addiction, co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse and assault, maternity and fertility issues, grief and loss, hoarding, family dynamics and conflict, marital issues, sexual orientation and gender identification and expression, adjustment issues, stages in life, and many other situations that bring a client to seek counseling.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I love supporting couples and families through life phase challenges such as moving in/out, premarital changes, gaining new family, separation, co-parenting, grief and loss, and trauma. I also have experience and enjoy supporting adults and teens through challenges such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self esteem building, sexual abuse trauma, and anger management.

Carter is a Licensed Professional Counselor and received his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. He has experience working with individuals who have endured pain and suffering, whether it be due to their own choices, the actions of others, or a situation that is completely out of their control. Carter has witnessed the way depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions and traumatic experiences have resulted in the use of unhealthy coping mechanisms that have made life more challenging.

My professional experience includes working with our military services members and their dependents working through deployments, suicide, multiple relocation's, marital issues, PTSD and other issues that military families face.
