Throughout my many years of experience, I have seen many clients, each person with a unique set of circumstances to cope with. Anxiety and depression may factor into their life arc, some may be dealing with grief or past traumas, and others may have issues with their self-image. When assessing couples (I am both LPC and LMFT, so I frequently see clients with a variety of needs), I've noticed that the main issues that I offer assistance with tend to be communication issues that then lead to conflict. Clients that come to me actively want to improve their lives, and it is my pleasure to support them by meeting them where they are.

I work primarily with adults and adolescents who are having trouble negotiating difficult life stages. I treat both short-term, acute problems and more pervasive, long-standing problems. My years of training, first in CBT, and later in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches allow me to use both in my practice. The client and I decide on treatment approaches based on his or her strengths and preferences.

I specialize in women's issues and life transition adjustments, including college adjustment, career, divorce, grief and loss, or a new diagnosis. I, also, offer prenatal and postpartum support to women who may feel depressed, worried about baby, or just wondering how they will manage it all.
