Originally from NYC, have always had friends, associates, relationships with persons from every culture.  This has been extremely valuable in developing my clinical skills and ability to understand and help a wide variety of people from various backgrounds.  The next invaluable contribution to my clinical skills is my Mother, Elizabeth, who taught me, "Everyone I know knows something I don't."  This makes every single person of unique intrinsic value.

I have worked in the counseling field for the last 20 years in private practice, treatment centers and in Higher Education. I enjoy helping others work through life situations and difficulties to regain their sense of self and worth. I utilize the treatment modality that fits your personality and comfort level. I bring with me a wealth of knowledge, empathy and a belief that no situation is hopeless.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing grief and anxiety. Grief can be a complex and challenging process, and I provide a supportive and nurturing space for clients to explore their emotions, find meaning in their loss, and gradually heal. Anxiety is another area of expertise, and I assist individuals in understanding the underlying causes of their anxiety and developing practical tools to manage and reduce its impact on their daily lives. I provide a nonjudgmental and safe environment where clients can explore their fears, develop self-compassion, and cultivate resilience.

I am a licensed social worker who has worked in a variety of settings to empower and support vulnerable populations. I trained in the neonatal intensive care unit of my local Level One trauma center in NEO helping parents navigate the care needs of their new child as well as their own physical and behavioral health needs. My training also includes working with patients at the Columbus Free Clinic, women in transitional supportive housing and survivors of domestic violence. I have extensive experience in helping guide individuals through complex social safety net programs and providing referrals to community support agencies.

I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field working with individuals of all age ranges. I enjoy working with individuals and couples and utilize a person-centered approach, where I meet each individual where they are at on their journey towards wellness. I believe in the mind-body connection and the importance of using a holistic approach to building resilience and meeting life’s challenges.

The therapeutic relationship creates a unique space for patient and therapist to explore and uncover new possibilities for growth and change in areas that are of importance to the patient. I work collaboratively with patients to dislodge and free up deeply-embedded patterns of behavior and ways of relating to others that can keep us stuck and prevent us from moving forward, from achieving important goals, and from developing satisfying relationships that are nurturing and sustaining. Relationships are central to my work with patients, whether working individually, in couples therapy, or in a group.

I help individuals identify specific struggles in their life. My experience has helped clients regulate emotions, and work through issues and struggles while providing tools to facilitate healing. I am a clinical psychologist licensed in Ohio and Indiana who provides psychotherapy for teens (15+) and adults. I specialize in OCD-and-related disorders, anxiety-spectrum disorders, phobias, social anxiety, and panic disorder; I also work with body image dissatisfaction and emotion regulation difficulties, and support and work with LGBTQ+ individuals (including writing letters for surgery).

I believe that life’s truest purpose is a journey toward wholeness - toward our center. However, it seems inevitable that at some point in everyone's life, the thread that connects us to our deepest center becomes frayed or lost. We may experience this as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, physical illness, feeling "stuck", and more. Work with me is process of exploring the possible meaning and value of these symptoms. The gift of therapy is an opportunity to feel different. Maybe to gain a felt sense of joy, peace and contentment. What does that mean? Many may have tried “talk therapy” alone. Although “talking” through life experiences can be helpful, it is often discovered that there is a felt sense to the issues that words cannot get through alone. Often resulting in not feeling better. The basis of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is that along with talk therapy it incorporates identifying where the feeling is physically located and more importantly, somatically felt. How the body is responding to the actual memory.

Steve Fratantonio is a licensed mental health counselor studying for his doctorate in counseling psychology. He has more than 15 years of experience providing mental health care services to children, adolescents and adults in private practice and community mental health. His specialty area of interest is working with both adults and adolescents, as well as their families. He has advanced training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and alternatives for families: cognitive behavioral therapy (AF-CBT).

I have a passion for working with older adults and anyone experiencing transition in their life. I believe that everyone can benefit from a safe space to bring their worries and concerns. I work with my clients to provide relief from emotional pain and to address their struggles in life. The goal is to increase self-awareness and to provide tools for better coping and functioning. I believe that every individual has the capacity to heal and to increase their sense of balance and well-being. I work with people who struggle with different life challenges including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, life transitions, loss and bereavement, trauma and relationship difficulties.

I work with adults, teens, and children to embrace their strengths, make meaningful changes, and find joy again. In my 30 years of experience as a child and adult clinical psychologist, I have developed a diverse set of assessment and therapeutic skills, allowing me to provide optimal care to children, adults and families. I am a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), and my specialties include helping families going through the difficulties of divorce, parent coordination, preserving a cooperative and collaborative environment to keep the children's best interests a priority, and conducting court-ordered custody evaluations. Attorneys and courts frequently request these services in order to help resolve child custody and parenting disputes.

Laura Palisin received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Dayton and her master's degree in community counseling from Kent State University. She has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in outpatient, inpatient and school settings. She has advanced training in trauma focused therapy including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT).

I believe that people are curious and usually strive to make sense of their internal selves and the world around them. In this process we are often guided, influenced, and diverted by various factors. These factors are endless and include, but are not limited to; experiences, parents, society, friends, work, and morals. While these variables can help us to grow, they may also hinder progress, leading to stagnation and dysfunction. I assist others to gain awareness of these factors either within or outside the self.

Miriam Rivkin is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Ohio who has been practicing since 2021. She has a Master's Degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Edinboro University as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Judaic Studies from Maimonides College. Miriam's philosophy is that everyone can gain from having a place where they feel safe to explore their feelings and aspirations yet motivated to find and become the best possible form of themselves.
