The stresses of life can sometimes accumulate, causing anxiety, depression, and anger. Relationships can become confusing and complicated. If you, a friend, or a family member are struggling with daily coping, I would like to help. I support clients and teach them skills to manage the daily stresses and joys of life. I care about you and offer an objective, accepting viewpoint. I also offer a peaceful, confidential, supportive environment to help men, women, and couples learn skills to manage life. I have a medical background, and I like helping the elderly and people with various illnesses and chronic pain.

I am attentive, professional with healing in mind. I use evidence base therapies to assist with the healing process of the client. My sole purpose is to help the client work through issues and except change no matter where or how that happens.

I have been practicing for over 35 years and still love the process of engaging with clients who desire to grow, improve their lives, and/or solve their problems through therapy. Assisting people during times of crisis, transition, personal struggle, trauma resolution, and family problems is what I do best as a psychologist. In addition I have worked hard to build a Practice involving many other therapists who have the same mission. My husband, Dave Zachau, who is also a therapist, and I have devoted our lives to helping others and building our community based Practice.

Children, families and adults are very special to me. Children ages 0-10, pre-teens, teens, college students and adults of all ages. Parent/Giuardian involvement, both father and mother, is mandatory when working with children. I have extensive training and experience in trauma treatment, family therapy, ADHD assessment and treatment and anxiety. My areas of specialization include depression; anxiety; trauma issues including rape, incest and childhood/adult emotional, physical and sexual abuse, neglect and poverty; grief and loss; and life adjustment.

Working with people to overcome their addictions, fears, and personal shortcomings has enabled me to help them achieve increased self-efficacy and tremendous personal growth. I am a licensed Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University. I specialize in treating children and adolescents ages 3-12 navigate feelings they may have related to past trauma including but not limited to experiencing sexual abuse, witnessing domestic violence and experiencing physical, emotional abuse or neglect. My primary area of interest includes treating trauma (PTSD), dissociative disorders, anxiety and depression. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions including Play Therapy, EMDR Therapy, Ego State Therapy, expressive arts, bibliotherapy and Sandtray.

I am a Counselor Trainee pursuing my license in Mental Health Counseling under supervision through Evolve Counseling. I have 16 years experience working as a school counselor and providing mental health counseling to adolescents, in addition to working with families and providing wrap around support as parents navigate their own journey. I work with children and adults who have experienced anxiety, depression, trauma, and those in need of LGBTQ+ support and mindfulness based stress reduction. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space for you to grow and to focus on your strengths, empowering you to reach your goals.
