I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Sex Therapist. I trained at the University of Pennsylvania and have been in practice for over 35 years specializing in both individual and couples therapy. I treat anxiety disorders, depression, relationship problems (including difficulties with communication and sexual functioning), body image issues, the challenges of life transitions (divorce, death of a loved one, relocation, retirement, health problems), as well as gay, lesbian, and gender identity issues.
People are often hesitant to see a therapist for fear that they will be blamed or made to feel that they are "sick." My style is non-judgmental. I am only interested in what is and what is not working in your life and why that is.
I will listen carefully. Building on your strengths, together we will formulate a plan to address the issues.
I support couples who want to preserve and/or enhance their relationship. I also help couples who are ready to separate do so in as respectful a manner as possible.
