By learning these skills, you’re not just working on one relationship (like in couples therapy), you’re working on yourself – the one thing you take into every single relationship you’ll have throughout your lifetime.
I like to think of relationships like chemistry experiments. If you keep putting the same two elements together, you can expect the same results. But if you change even ONE element, the entire outcome shifts. By pursuing and investing in individual therapy, you’re bypassing the frustration of trying to change your partner, and instead addressing the piece you have true agency over: yourself. The key to healthy, lasting relationships doesn’t start with ‘fixing’ the other person, it starts with you.

I specialize in working with adults struggling with anxiety and relationship difficulty.
Do you find yourself anxious and hurt in relationships, no matter what you do? You’re someone who cares about others deeply, but still find your relationships feeling conflictual and confusing, leaving you feeling disconnected, upset, and wondering why these patterns keep happening. Relationships are complex, and disconnection can leave us feeling empty, anxious, and panicked. But you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to start making sense of patterns. You’re ready to process and heal your own emotions. Most of all, you’re ready to get to the root of your problems so you can actually feel better. I want to help you get there.

I have over 20 years of experience with treating individuals with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and low self-esteem.
Asking for help takes courage. Life can be overwhelming at times. There is continued pressure to feel like we are making progress and moving forward but we remain "stuck" despite will power and the best intentions to change. I believe that through therapy, self-care, and an attempt to truly accept oneself individuals can make progress and positive change within themselves and within their relationships.

I use techniques such as CBT and mindfulness to challenge automatic negative thoughts, psychodynamic and attachment based approaches to build a trusting, safe, nurturing relationship, and EMDR to process trauma, including small ’t’ traumas that can affect our ability to be fully in the present.
Are you feeling blocked? Have you been trying to make changes but keep getting stuck? Do you wish your career would take off? Or that you would be happier in your relationships? Maybe depression, anxiety, or an addiction is getting in your way. My speciality is working with adults and adolescents that are wanting to create a fulfilling life by breaking through the barriers that are holding them back.

Our relationship with food can be complicated, but therapy can help to develop a healthy, positive connection to your body and food.
Do you want to thrive instead of just survive each day? Self care and self compassion are key components to mental and emotional health. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, family issues, low self-esteem, or stress management, you are not alone. Therapy is a place just for you, to be heard, validated and supported. I aim to help you better understand whatever issues you are dealing with and to learn positive, healthy ways to cope with and manage these stressors. My experience is primarily with late adolescent and adult women.

Hello, my name is Danielle. The first thing I want you to know about myself is as a counselor I am passionate about working with children and adolescents. Because of this passion, my counseling journey has led me to be certified and trained to work specifically with children and adolescents. I have often imagined how difficult it must be for parents to see their children struggling. While working with your child, I will consult the parents and build a relationship that leads to us working together towards your child's mental health.

My name is Lisa Longo. I have worked in the field of mental health and human services for over 20 years. I have a BA in psychology & MA Ed. in Counseling from Seton Hall University. Thus far in my life, I have witnessed & experienced life defining moments. When we experience or witness trauma, death of a loved one, anxiety, depression, a life transition, etc. it’s hard to figure out what to do next. When “life happens” we find ourselves experiencing emotions we may not know how to handle. I have found that these times are when we could benefit from unbiased support!

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
