I specialize in working with adults struggling with anxiety and relationship difficulty.
Do you find yourself anxious and hurt in relationships, no matter what you do? You care about others deeply, but still find your relationships feeling conflictual and confusing, leaving you feeling disconnected, upset, and, most of all, wondering why these patterns keep happening. Relationships are complex, and disconnection can leave us feeling empty, anxious, and panicked. But you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to start making sense of patterns. You’re ready to process and heal your own emotions. Most of all, you’re ready to get to the root of your problems so you can actually feel better. I want to help you get there.

As a licensed psychologist, I help clients in individual counseling to gain awareness and understanding of their particular issue. From there options become available and are exercised. Through this process, change is achieved. This process will be different for each individual and each issue. The goal is to reduce distress and to turn things around so you are managing the issue/mood instead of it managing or arresting you. The types of issues I have expertise in are mood (especially anxiety and depression) disorders, relationship issues, self-esteem, grief/loss, family of origin issues, life changes and personal growth.

I enjoy working with individuals and couples struggling with relationship issues, infidelity, intimacy, and sexual and reproductive health concerns.
Have you been cheated on and don't know if you should rebuild trust and work it out or leave? Are you trudging along in a relationship that is too bad to stay, but too good to leave? You lost a pregnancy and don't know how you can move on. If you been trying to get pregnant for so long that sex has turned into a mechanical chore, we can explore ways to regain connection. Perhaps you feel you have lost your partner to working incessantly or taking care of kids and intimacy is a thing of the past. If this resonates with you I can help you navigate your journey with clarity, confidence, and even happiness.

The therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is invaluable.
Making the decision to begin the journey into your own self-care can be overwhelming. I provide a safe, person-centered, and judgement-free environment that welcomes acceptance and healing. Sometimes having a container to "hold space" can be incredibly freeing of the daily challenges we face in life.

Phone and Teleconferencing are now being used during the pandemic. This is a good time to work on issues that you and your partner may have been too busy to focus on before. Are you anxious or depressed? Do you want to create a better life for yourself but you are unsure how to make the changes you want? Are you in a relationship where the fighting is becoming greater than the satisfaction of being with your partner? Have you or your partner had an affair? Is your sex life a disappointment? Are you and your partner experiencing the intimacy you yearn for inside and outside the bedroom? Are you struggling with sexual pain?

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
