As a Licensed Psychologist & Eating Disorder Specialist, Dr. Petralia works with individuals who are coping with a variety of life's challenges. She was trained at Johns Hopkins, Florida State University and The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt. Dr. Petralia specializes in providing comprehensive psychological services to individuals dealing with Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, Body Image issues, Diabulimia, Disordered Eating and Obesity. For individuals going through the bariatric surgery process, she can provide thorough bariatric evaluations as well as pre- and post-surgical counseling.
Her practice also focuses on treating adults who are dealing with anxiety, OCD, grief, depression, relationship difficulties, postpartum concerns, perfectionism and/or life transitions. Group therapy offered at Premier Psychology includes eating disorder & body image groups. Dr. Petralia is also a Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health Counselor Interns.
Dr. Petralia's goal is to tailor treatment to best fit the emotional and behavioral needs of the individual.
