I believe achieving a healthy mental health balance is important in all aspects of life.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who will listen without judgment, and offer support through life's struggles. Problems do not occur in a vacuum. Individual problems often have symptoms that affect the entire family system. I work with children, adolescents, couples, and families experiencing whatever problems of the moment. During our work together, we will explore the impact of the issue and join together to generate solutions that not only benefit the people in the room, but may also positively influence future generations.

I see therapy as an interactive journey toward achieving set goals. I believe in providing support for individuals, children, couples, and families through their journeys as a co-pilot. We a systems approach, to work together to recognize patterns in thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships that have developed through your unique experiences. Providing support with issues of grief, depression, anxiety, physical and emotional abuse, divorce, parenting, adjustment, spiritual, and relationship concerns is a priority.

We all experience struggles from time to time that may leave us feeling overwhelmed, or numb and disconnected. I have extensive experience with mood disorders, trauma and addictions and work with all ages. I am trained in EMDR and use that technique with both children and adults if appropriate. My clients often state when they first spoke to me they felt immediately at ease and did not feel judged. I am able to assist my clients in seeing patterns in their life story and work to identify and change core beliefs such as "I'm not good enough", "I'm defective" or "I cannot trust others."

When depression or anxiety takes over and loneliness sets in, it is understandable to feel hopeless. Sometimes even relationships can lead to unhappiness. In therapy, we will work to address these issues. Therapy is a journey of learning about your past and present self. This self-exploration helps open the doors to a fulfilling and meaningful life. I work with clients to help them understand their strengths and struggles, which creates a platform to achieve their goals. In order to do that, I believe that the therapist-client relationship is a partnership and it is central to achieving significant progress.
