Throughout my career, I have been amazed and inspired by the resilience of human beings through the most adverse experiences. We all possess an innate level of resilience, although sometimes we need help building it up and tapping into it. I am hopeful that we can work together to build your resilience to cope with hardships, overcome challenges, and navigate daily life in an empowering, healthy manner.

I am passionate about connecting, supporting and validating clients through life's challenges. I recognize that the world can be a difficult place at times, and everyone can use encouragement, the ability to gain insight, and inspiration. My goal is to work with clients to recognize that the critical voice in your head isn't actually telling the truth. It can be tricky to believe in yourself and find your inner strength when your head tells you the opposite! I like helping clients find their authentic inner voice, that inspires positivity, empowerment, and the ability to believe in the goodness within all of us.

I have been enjoying providing Psychotherapy in Asheville since 2000. I provide caring and professional therapy for Individuals (Adults, Adolescents & Children), Couples and Families. I am happy to serve our diverse community including the LGBTQ+ community. I have extensive experience working with anxiety disorders, depression, parenting skills, couples conflicts, life transitions, divorce/separation, post traumatic stress, ADHD, bi-polar, and many other issues.

Individuals I work with are tired of being tired, tired of anxious thoughts keeping you up at night. You may feel stuck in the cycle of unhealthy behaviors, the effects of trauma, or having difficulty asking for what you want and need. It may be hard to even know what you want or need. As a former wilderness guide, and current Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I am dedicated to helping people take the difficult steps necessary to achieve meaningful change in their lives. I have experience working with a wide range of mental and chemical health challenges. My specialties include mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem issues, navigating personal/professional changes, and recovery from addiction. I also have a great passion for supporting parents dealing with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and am certified through Postpartum Support International as a Perinatal Mental Health specialist.
