I have been a practicing social worker for many years. I have a great deal of experience working with adolescents and young adults, as well as families and couples. My specialties include issues with substances--use, abuse and dependence--and family problems. I practice solution based treatment and work within various modalities. My practice offers a broad spectrum of services which includes providing long/short term individual (children, adolescents, adults), marital and family psychotherapy. I collaborate with psychiatrists, neurologists, school officials and attorneys to coordinate care and ensure that each client receives the most effective and appropriate treatment. An initial mental health assessment and psychosocial history is completed with the client to determine how their needs will best be met. I am trained in several types of treatment modalities.

Ms. Anny Gonell, LCSW-R is a bilingual (Spanish)l, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive training as a Psychotherapist, Medical and School Social Worker. With over 20 years of experience in social work, she has specialized training in anxiety and depression from the world renowned Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Her therapeutic approach is primarily Cognitive-Behavioral; actively assisting clients in identifying unhealthy behavioral patterns and helping them deveng and lop tools and skills to make positive changes.

My integrative, therapeutic approach is through a social justice-oriented lens, which helps me provide culturally competent treatment.
