My ideal client is any teen or adult who is interested in gaining more insight about themselves. I specialize on helping individuals struggling with mental health, substance use, relationships, employment, or just feeling as though they need support. I work well with clients in all stages of change and believe that with mutual respect, understanding, and genuineness we can work collaboratively to identify individual needs & goals throughout therapy.

In my journey becoming a counselor I have gained skill with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Some topics I am able to work on with clients are trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, identity issues, LGBTQAI, difficult transitions, and family issues. Along with talk therapy, I provide art therapy and will provide some play therapy techniques when appropriate. Clients can look forward to learning new skills and strategies, processing issues, and making changes when ready. I am a Neuropsycholoigst with 25 years of experience in treating patients with brain injuries. I treat children, adults, and geriatric patients who have experienced brain injury. Brain Injury can happen to anyone. Concussions from a motor vehicle accident, sports injury, strokes or dementia can affect people at all ages. When addressing anxiety, depression, and self-esteem concerns, two crucial components come into play: what clients are feeling and where they aspire to be. As a therapist, my aim is to help clients reach their desired goals. To achieve this, I explore their childhood experiences, any past traumas, and uncomfortable situations. This forms the foundation upon which we can either leave the past behind or accept it as it is, moving forward with a customized treatment plan.

The lack of these qualities in the home have caused strife in the family, to the point where it becomes maladaptive. The family wants qualitative relationships with one another. They want their relationships to be positive, meaningful and purposeful. They want and need this because the family unit is interconnected. There is a symbiotic relationship amongst all family members.

Emotional Regulation

Clients seeking treatment typically aim for a reduction in distressing symptoms linked to substance use, whether it's through total abstinence or a harm reduction approach. These goals are often centered on improving their personal life, reducing interpersonal relationship issues, and effectively processing and moving forward from traumatic experiences. I can help clients manage symptoms related to co-occurring disorders and work towards reducing those symptoms for a more balanced and healthier life.

The ideal client is someone motivated to make a positive change in their life, understanding that consistent effort is more realistic than constant motivation. They are open to learning how to harness their strengths, develop coping skills, and work collaboratively toward their desired goals.
