Deborah's career in addictions counseling began in 1992 at Eugenia Psychiatric Hospital. There she was a vital member of the "Safe Haven" staff; specializing in providing an environment of healing for sexually abused and addicted women. Her specialty groups consisted of issues related to addiction, sexual abuse, eating disorders and anger management. Her work at Eugenia also included extensive counseling with adolescents as well as the general population. Deborah's commitment to those suffering from addictions led her to Villanova University, where she achieved her Certification in Addictions Counseling.

When you are able to take the time and effort to learn about your responses to difficult situations, you become empowered to make choices. Healing from painful relationships, and facing life's daily challenges, are skills that are often learned by accident. Dealing with unfinished business, and, learning skills to manage stress and loss, at this painful time, can help you to prevent future difficulties. I am most interested in helping people to grow. I am able to bring over 35 years of experience to help you learn more about how to manage difficult feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.

During his almost 30 years of practice, David Wasser has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in his private practice and in hospital settings. Dr. Wasser is an active psycho-dynamic therapist who incorporates cognitive and behavioral techniques with insights from Mindfulness and Family Therapy. He works with individuals, couples and families who are experiencing distress or want to improve communication or to learn more about themselves. Experienced in the treatment of depression, anxiety and interpersonal problems, Dr. Wasser believes that talking to a compassionate, attentive, insightful and non-judgmental listener can be curative and fulfilling.

Using a combination of meditation, mindfulness and cognitive methods, I help individuals to attain deep inner awareness of one's mind and body and deep outer awareness of the external world. I believe that the resolution of many of life's problems becomes apparent when we open our minds to our own unrecognized thoughts, feelings, and sensations. I believe that contentment can arise only as a result of a basic honesty and acceptance of oneself.

My Goal is to help you achieve a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship, in order to guide you with your journey of healing. I often treat others who experience difficulty with anxiety, anger and depression. Along with these symptoms I help develop coping skills to utilize when when dealing with stressors of life and changes in family dynamics. I also treat others who experience similar symptoms and utilize an eclectic approach which includes CBT,Guided imagery and humor.
