Thirty plus years of experience utilizing psychodynamic psychotherapy in adult, marital (couples), child, and family therapy. Further training and supervision was gleaned at the Institute for Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis of N.J. Although my orientation is eclectic, I lean towards an interpersonal interactive approach with my clients, unless contraindicated. For years It has been my privilege to work with women of all ages navigating life transitions and hardships such as separations, troubled relationships (with a partner, family or friends, or one's body), navigating the roller coaster of motherhood, or experiencing a loss. Regardless of our experiences, beliefs, or social circumstances, we all fight the silent and lonely battles of not feeling we are enough. With over 14 years of experience as a Mental Health professional, which includes a ten year role as a Senior Investigator with the Department of Children and Families, Nyree has experience dealing with domestic violence, life transitions, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, impulse control, family issues, parenting skills, adolescent issues, substance abuse, trauma, panic disorder, self harm, and anger management. Drawing on this experience, she is currently serving as a private practitioner, helping her clients gain stability in their lives by better managing life's challenges, thereby creating the ability to identify distorted thinking and beliefs. My ideal client is the client that has an idea of what they want in life but is overwhelmed with life stressors such as anxiety and depression. This client needs a safe space to explore their life options and the triggers that are causing negative thinking patterns, self-doubt, and low self-confidence. This client needs support, encouragement, and a non-judgmental approach to achieve their goals.

My ideal client is one who is willing to explore uncomfortable areas in their life and understand that vulnerability is part of the process. One of the most important parts of therapy to me is highlighting accountability and what roles we play in our own lives. I enjoy working with clients who are struggling with relationship issues, self-esteem, irrational thinking, and life adjustments. A client who can pinpoint what they would like to improve in their life and request a little bit of guidance along the way is an ideal client. Their goal is not to be perfect but to improve their day-to-day life a little more each day.

They may be in a relationship that contributes to their low self-esteem and want to find the strength and confidence they need in order to leave it behind.

I believe strongly that clients come in all different shapes and sizes and from different walks of life. Therefore, I do not have an ideal client, as my wish is to help anyone who needs it regardless of their experiences, needs, and goals. I welcome the experiences I will gain from having diverse clients.

My ideal client is simply a client who is ready to make a change. No matter the presenting problem, all I need from my client is an open mind and a readiness for change.

My ideal client has dealt with everything from existential crises, searching for life's meaning, addiction, behavior issues, trauma, and attachment issues, to name a few that stand out.

They will have either ignored the signs or continued to survive because of fear of what others would think. The person will need to understand what they are experiencing is not their fault, and their goal is to break free of the cycle that has continued for so long.

I specialize in Trauma & PTSD, Domestic Violence, and Anxiety. My ideal client is ready to be open and accepting of the therapeutic process, committed to participating and collaborating. My ideal client is looking to either begin or continue their healing journey from the past to gain a more insightful and healthy perspective on life in the now and future.

My ideal client may struggle with addiction, depression, and or anxiety. My client may have traumatic experiences they wish to process in sessions. Their goals would be to learn to overcome their cognitive distortions and cope with life challenges. My client may also seek to eliminate self-destructive behaviors and improve their self-esteem and interpersonal relationships.

My ideal client would be someone who shows up to their session eager to work towards a better version of themselves. This person may be dealing with some anxiety, dissociation, and or depression. This person may need social support, encouragement, and new hobbies. This person's goals may include implementing positive self-talk, planning activities for building self-esteem, and incorporating mindfulness practices to assist with their anxiety. This person wants more peace and balance in their life and relationships to help them feel more connected with themselves and others as well as decrease feelings of anxiety and depression.

My ideal client is grappling with a multitude of challenges and seeking support in their therapeutic journey. This client's primary concerns revolve around the quest to discover their authentic self and cultivate a more positive outlook on life. A devoted parent they are navigating the complexities of raising a child diagnosed with autism, adding an extra layer of responsibility and emotional weight to their daily life. Central to the client's therapeutic goals is the desire to unearth the positive aspects of their life. They're eager to shift their focus from challenges to blessings, fostering resilience and a sense of gratitude.

My ideal clients are people who have been unable to find someone they can pull back the veil covering their heart because of past betrayals, lack of trust, cultural roadblocks, or some other barrier that keeps the true source of their burden hidden. You are looking for a space where you can be honest, not with me, but with yourself. You're looking for someone who can listen without judgment and accompany you on your healing journey. You are seeking someone to either walk with you through your journey and hold you accountable for the goals you set for yourself or for someone who can simply listen with an open mind.

My ideal client is someone who is motivated for change, able to take accountability for their actions, and open-minded to new concepts and challenges that improve their daily life. I encourage clients to develop SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound) goals within the first few sessions to ensure active progress is being attained.

My ideal client is someone who is serious about their treatment and puts in the effort. Counseling needs consistency, one of the main factors that lead to success. I have a lot of experience with clients struggling with cognitive distortions that result from several disorders. I have also helped clients with their goals when they want to change their cognition. I also work well with clients who view the counselor not as a magician and how the clients would view the counselor as a guide in their healing process.
