Alexander Gumbs, FNP/PMHNP-BC is a dual board-certified practitioner in psychiatry and family medicine. Mr. Gumbs uses an integrative holistic approach to treat the bodies and minds of his patients. He is proficient in treating those across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, and seniors). Community focus is his passion. He has experience treating disadvantaged populations, such as the homeless and those in the criminal justice system transitioning back to civilian life. Mr. Gumbs treats those with anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, depression, autism, insomnia, dementia, and postpartum depression.

I work with individuals who have anxiety, depression, mood disorders, insomnia, relationship problems, trauma history, medical illness, neurological illness, and/or individuals who are helping family members with these problems. My experience over the last 25 years in psychiatry has shown that medications are helpful but do not take care of all problems in life. I offer combined psychiatric treatment. I received my psychiatric residency training from Georgetown University Hospital and fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine from Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Ricardo Cáceda’s treatment philosophy is to take advantage of the most effective treatments available to go beyond symptom reduction, aiming to help individual patients to recover their level of function and to have a fulfilling personal, familial and work life. His extensive experience in biological psychiatry provides him with a strong background on biological treatments, which he combines with a solid psychotherapy approach to provide an integral and individualized treatment for his patients. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years experience in healthcare. I treat many conditions, including Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety and ADHD. My specialty is dealing with College, Graduate, and Professional students, however I enjoy working with adults of all ages. I routinely work with students from Columbia, NYU, and University of Miami. I also enjoy working with teens age 16 and above navigate their way through problems related to work, relationships, and life transitions, including cancer and other health related struggles and anxiety.

Irene Tetzlaff is a skilled and compassionate clinician. She specializes in psychotherapeutic methods and medication management for adults and seniors. Irene utilizes a holistic approach to wellness, treating her clients as individuals and not simply a list of symptoms to be treated. She employs modern telepsychiatry platforms for her client visits.

For 45 years I have practiced relational, body-oriented psychotherapy. When you have no words for your feelings, for what happened to you… for what is missing in you, I listen to the inner resonance- of your inchoate secrets- as it lives in your body. I help you to sense and amplify this resonance until its movement comes close enough to the surface of your being to enter your consciousness. This nonverbal, implicit process brings a unique dimension to my work.

My hope and expectation is that my broad experience in helping individuals of all ages to find better ways to handle their feelings, relationships, and lives will help me to find a way to help you. I have spent many years studying what happens in therapy sessions and have become an internationally known expert on how, when, and whether patients benefit. Dr. Nargus Harounzadeh, DrNP, 500-RYT, is both a doctorally trained psychiatric nurse practitioner and a yoga therapist. She provides talk therapy, movement therapy, and medication management for attention and performance issues, relationship issues, mood issues, and self-esteem issues. She cares for patients with ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, substance use disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and schizophrenia. Dr. Harounzadeh also serves as an Attending on the Forensic Inpatient Psychiatry Service at Bellevue Hospital Center and Clinical Instructor at NYU School of Medicine.

In private practice for 20 years, I treat both simple and complex psychiatric conditions with medication, psychotherapy (talk therapy) or both.
