I've structured my scheduling to welcome most new clients within 1-3 weeks. I am currently accepting new clients over the age of 18. I have special interests in perinatal mental health and eating disorders of all types. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I have completed the full psychotherapy and pharmacology perinatal training through PSI. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western Carolina University and my Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University in Lexington, Kentucky.

The journey can be overwhelming in this modern age. In the rush, we tend to lose touch with the peace that is available in the moment. Conscious awareness of ourselves requires motivation, practice, support and an open mind. Digital detox and getting in touch with our five senses and honoring our humanness can provide freedom and acceptance. I prescribe psychiatric medications for symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD. I believe in their value as a tool for transformation. There is more to my practice than pills. Self-reflection, honesty and drive are required to transform and optimize the body, brain and spirit.

I spent the first portion of my career in emergency medicine. I met a lot of incredible people and learned many valuable lessons. However, over the last several years, I have had significant experience with mental illness in that setting and have become very passionate about the importance of mental health care. Seeing people transition past their struggles into a life that is full is inspiring because it is not an easy path. My goal is to help each patient reach this path and stay accountable and aware.

Our specialties include substance use, depression, anxiety, bipolar, self esteem concerns, obsessive compulsive disorders, eating disorders and post traumatic stress.
