As a physician, I believe that treating the whole person & promoting wellness can increase the joy in one's life. I treat women’s mental health throughout the reproductive life cycle, using medications, psychotherapy, & lifestyle modifications. I help women make the best decisions for themselves & their families by giving evidence-based recommendations informed by research. Similarly, I enjoy working with young adults as they navigate the many life transitions that come with adulthood.

Shandra is dedicated to providing warm, compassionate care to each individual throughout their healing journey. I am an open, caring, and intuitive psychiatric nurse practitioner who works well with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Besides eight years experience as a nurse practitioner and 11 as a psychiatric nurse, I also have a PH.D. in English and am skilled in communicating with my clients. I provide psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, and psychotherapy. Working together, my client and I set up meaningful and workable therapeutic goals and then go about attaining them. Body awareness and imagery work are hallmarks of my practice. I am also trained as an EMDR therapist and can offer EMDR to interested clients.

I offer psychoanalysis and psychotherapy and I do not prescribe medication. Together, we focus on understanding your symptoms and mastering your upsetting impulses, conflicts, and relationships. I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Neuropsychiatrist who treats all ages with a wide variety of problems particularly depression & anxiety. I have over 20 years experience utilizing medication and therapy and get great satisfaction from helping people feel better as quickly as possible. I am on the part time faculties at Johns Hopkins & University of Maryland. I am caring, non-judgmental and confidential. I am double Board-Certified, and both a Psychopharmacologist (medication expert) and Psychotherapist (using Cognitive-Behavioral therapy and other approaches). Specializing in the emotional well-being of women, she addresses a range of issues, including ADHD, perinatal mental health, fertility concerns, perinatal loss, and postpartum depression. She completed her residency in General Psychiatry at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she served as the chief resident.

Janet Smith has a Doctorate in Nursing and as both a Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner. She strongly believes in the mind-body connection and a holistic approach to mental health. She specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder, diagnosing Autism in adults and teens, and high-functioning or Asperger’s Syndrome. She also is experienced in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar, and many other conditions.
