I am a Clinical Psychiatrist with extensive experience caring for many individuals in the greater New Orleans area. I treat all Behavioral Health Disorders. My goal is to promote psychological well-being. My philosophy is patient-centered, addressing the whole body, mind, social, and spiritual health and wellness. Providing thorough and thoughtful assessments are paramount in order to achieve effective, successful treatment and coordination of care.

I am excited to create a clinical office offering a unique experience for each client. I want to create a partnership with each client were we make solid plans to help each individual meet their goals and improve their lives. Many clients today are looking for a psychiatrist who will listen to them and pay close attention to their issues with care and compassion. The office will use technology to help remove some of the burden off a traditional office but yet have balance of personal touch and care.

I have many years of experience in a variety of settings, both hospital and office based, mostly in the New Orleans area, which has given me valued understanding of numerous mental health struggles and difficulties encountered by people. It has been quite rewarding to help people achieve peace and stability with improvement in mental health.

I was raised in the Greater New Orleans area. I attended Florida State University, majoring in Psychology. I was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with Honors. I attended LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree. I completed a Psychiatry Residency in the LSU/Ochsner Psychiatry Residency Program. I have practiced in various inpatient, outpatient, community, and private settings throughout my career. I am Board Certified. I am accepting new self-pay and BCBS PPO patients. No other private insurance is accepted at this time. Medicaid/Medicare is not accepted.

Mental health is complicated. I do not subscribe to the notion that mental illness is purely a biochemical process. A person’s whole background and current circumstances affect their mental health and how they will react to certain treatments. Additionally, each patient has their own set of goals. Wellness looks different to us all. I practice psychodynamic psychopharmacology. This is an approach to medication management that combines evidence-based use of medication with careful consideration of a person’s developmental history and patterns in their behaviors, feelings, and relationships.
