I went explicitly into psychiatry because, during high school I felt there were only a few subjects I could apply to everyday life. Everything starts with the mind, and as the famous quote states, “I think therefore I am.” First are the thoughts, whether conscious or unconscious, then feelings, i.e., emotions, and then actions. Thoughts, feelings, and actions encompass our daily lives and must be in harmony in order for us to live up to our full potential.

I provide Meaning Centered therapy for those who need a limited number of sessions to deal with a specific issue. EMDR may be used if appropriate. Persons seeking Meaning Centered psychotherapy should: be open to dealing with problems in daily life rather than focusing on a diagnosis; not look for immediate relief or expect the outcome to be a smooth life; have a desire to think and explore their lives as well as question and be questioned; be able to question the status quo.
