I am a board-certified family psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have verifiable experience in treating variety of psychiatric disorders such as; mood disorders including resistant depression, eating disorders, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, schizophrenia, stress and sleep related disorders.

My approach is based on integrative psychiatry, which uses medications, therapy and complementary medicine to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. I address the combined impact of sleep, lifestyle, relationships, nutrition and chronic medical conditions on well-being, and use cutting edge tools like genetic testing to guide personalized treatment with medication and supplements. I consider the patient’s cultural background in my assessments and I can provide treatment in Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian. My goal is to help my patients create lasting changes and build vitality, resilience and purpose in life.

Our clinic treats ages 5 & up. Sessions are conducted virtually (using a HIPAA compliant platform). We understand that medication management is not the only solution. The lifestyle that precipitated the stress response in the first plans needs to change. In addition to psychotherapy and medication management, we place high regards for modalities such as weight management, medical management, exercise, and sleep hygiene to combat the body’s inflammatory response, which exacerbates mental illness. We aim to uses the lowest effective dose and help people to eventually not depend on medication.

Ingrid Maria Suazo, DrHA, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing in the field of mental health for over 25 years.

I’m a compassionate and highly skilled board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with additional training and certification in nutritional and metabolic psychiatry. I have trained with the leading physicians in evidence-based integrative, metabolic, and functional psychiatry resulting in an effective and compassionate psychiatric practice. I carefully consider and utilize new and emerging treatments with conventional or traditional therapies to treat disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. I work with people who are ready to take a new approach to their mental health.

I am board certified in Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and I am committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, evidence-based, and collaborative care to children, adolescents, and adults. My training and professional experience emphasize the improved functioning and decreased suffering that psychotherapy can provide to individuals by increasing self-awareness, increasing understanding of interactions with others and the world, and moving towards engaging in life in a way that feels more meaningful. I can also prescribe medications as an additional intervention if needed.
