We all experience difficulties and challenges at some point in our lives which can leave us feeling anxious, stressed and worried. We all have past experiences that can still affect us in the here and now. Trying to make sense of these issues and experiences and trying to find our place in the world can often feel overwhelming and frightening, especially if we believe that we are the only ones feeling this way. Effective counselling can give you the time and space you need to help you to explore and begin to make sense of the issues affecting your life and allow you to focus on the changes you may want to make.
My person-centred approach to counselling integrates aspects of psychotherapy from the humanistic, psychodynamic and behaviourist disciplines. This means I work in a client-led manner that is fluid and the focus in our sessions can move between the past, present and future depending on the needs of each individual.
I'm experienced in supporting clients as they explore and manage a wide range of issues, from anxiety and stress to bereavement, trauma and self-esteem.
