For me, Psychology is about making a difference to people's lives, no matter how big the current difficult that they are experiencing; and to support them in reaching their goals. I enjoy working with people with physical health difficulties who may be struggling to adjust to a new diagnosis, or change in symptom. I also enjoy supporting people to recognise what they are already doing well and how this can help them. I enjoy working with children and adults.

I am a fully accredited and qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, working in both the private and public sector. I have over 14 years of experience working in mental health NHS services and can support people experiencing low mood, depression, generalised anxiety, phobias, PTSD, relationship difficulties, anger, loss, bereavement, trauma, bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa, binge eating disorder, OCD, identity and cultural issues. I am able to offer integrative psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR or person centred counselling to help people move forward in their lives when they feel stuck or distressed.

I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and have completed a degree in Psychology and primarily practice cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I have over ten years experience of working within a range of NHS mental health services in London and the West Midlands in treating depression, anxiety disorders and trauma in adults and children by way of delivering effective treatment and providing evidence-based procedures.

Hello my name is Dawn, I understand that first contact and arranging a session and coming, takes a lot of strength, Many I have found is concerned about having to go into details of the concern they coming with or having to relive maybe a trauma. See therapy as painful. Therapy does not have to be painful, you do not have to go into details if did not wish to. Goals maybe to be able to look ahead to see there is a light, to feel heard, listened to, to be acknowledged.
