Hello! I’m Grace, a London-based music psychotherapist who helps creatives develop self-acceptance, in order to feel grounded and confident in who they are, what they want and how to get there. Being a musician, creative producer and psychotherapist means that I have a great deal of experience at the intersection of self-expression and creativity. I've worked within adult mental health in the NHS as well as private practice, helping those with long-term as well as sudden mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, personality disorders, psychosis. As well as supporting people with ADHD/ADD, autism.

I am a psychotherapist and supervisor and have been working with individuals and groups for the last twenty years. For several years I was on the training committee at AGIP including two years as chair. I am currently the course leader for the Guild's diploma in psychoanalytic supervision. I would describe my orientation as psychoanalytic from within a contemplative perspective. By this I mean that I subscribe to the idea of an unconscious and believe events and attitudes from early life can impact on our lives today. I understand that an awareness of these currents helps to increase the choices available to us.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and supervisor who works with a range of psychological difficulties including depression, anxiety, social anxiety, addictions, trauma, relationship difficulties, OCD, body dysmorphia, and personality disorders. Sometimes clients may need a limited number of sessions for a specific difficulty, at other times longer-term work may be more appropriate. My aim is to create a safe, non-judgemental environment in which difficulties may be constructively understood, and appropriate strategies can be applied to address them.

People can come to therapy for all sorts of reasons: they might be struggling at work or feeling dissatisfied in a relationship or coming to terms with a traumatic childhood. They might need a different approach depending on their goals - so a more structured, goal based intervention might be suitable for someone who wants to be more effective in the workplace. The person affected by a traumatic past might want to develop a stronger abiity to self-soothe - this could be through guided imagery, relaxation, breathing or just through experiencing the therapeutic relationship as safe and accepting.
