I work primarily with youth and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, social skills deficits, and significant life transitions. These clients may struggle with managing overwhelming feelings, self-esteem issues, or difficulties with peer relationships. They may also be facing family changes like divorce, moving, or entering new schools, which can impact their emotional well-being. The ideal client can be looking for guidance on how to navigate these challenges, need a safe space to share, and/or want to gain a deeper understanding of themselves
I seek to work collaboratively with every client to identify their specific concerns and tailor their counselling experience to meet their individual needs. Modalities I may use include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and skills from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
I hope to establish a supportive and understanding therapeutic relationship by creating a safe environment of acceptance and comfort for you to share your emotions, thoughts, feelings, and struggles.
