I offer supportive psychotherapy (one or two weekly meetings) or more intensive approaches such as psychoanalysis to create a therapeutic relationship - a potential space that makes it possible to discuss the issues that need to be worked through.
Psychoanalysis is a way to understand and overcome different levels and forms of stress generated by challenging events or deficits occurring in human life. Those undesirable events are sometimes too intense to affect human personality and cause suffering and challenging existential moments. In those moments, we feel the emotional need for personal psychological support that implies not only professional readiness and personal maturity to help but also concrete humanistic values cultivated in our professional ethics. The therapist's ability to connect on an emotional level and arrive at a rational understanding > > >

I specialize in helping clients navigate relationship issues, dating life, and healing from attachment wounds.
Experiencing relationship related anxiety can be really painful. In romantic relationships and friendships, the fear of abandonment may make you feel disconnected from yourself. Once you begin to uncover your true self, you will find that you were born with freedom, integrity, joy, and love; you’ve simply been conditioned to forget these gifts. As a queer trauma therapist, I understand how childhood traumas and spiritual traumas can impact one's intimate relationships. However, love is a practice. My relational approach to healing trauma will help you feel worthy and self-full.

A therapy experience of being seen and accepted over & over again - including being challenged and working through turbulence in the therapy relationship when it surfaces - helps folks develop more relational tools, skills, clarity & self worth.
It is hard to be human these days between the daily traumas of colonial-capitalist culture & the intergenerational wounds that we endure from dysfunctional family patterns of relating. I call what we do in therapy a collaborative spiritual workout where we put our heads & hearts together to better understand your problems & find different, more expansive ways of navigating them. We talk about your problems, your feelings, we explore solutions, we celebrate your wins, and we look at how your problems show up & play out in our relationship. Brave conversations allow us to build relational safety, one step and one session at a time.

Change and solutions are possible! Help is available. Psychotherapy addresses a variety of issues and I can help you with everything from anxiety to depression to life and relationship issues. Often the hardest part is simply making the decision to begin. I offer a unique approach; in addition to traditional office visits, I also offer online sessions. Many people enjoy the added benefits of 'meeting' online; reduced travel time to and from their appointments, greater scheduling flexibility and being able to continue whether they are feeling under the weather or away on vacation.

While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
