Life can be very difficult to navigate at times. We can feel overwhelmed and unsure of what direction to take, or how we can cope with big changes. Counselling can be a safe space where we feel seen and heard, explore our experiences, and forge a new path for ourselves. I have had the honour of working with clients with concerns regarding career and education direction, anxiety, social anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress, and life transitions. Counselling can also be a place for those who want to understand themselves better and build a meaningful life according to their values.
In all my work, I am guided by core values of empathy, warmth, non-judgment, and curiosity. I practice from a collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based perspective, and work with clients to identify what areas they find are challenging, as well as inner strengths and everyday acts of courage that have helped them navigate challenges before.
I incorporate a range of methods to best suit clients and their needs, including person-centred, solution-focused, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy.
