For this reason, I draw upon various models of therapy and use an eclectic approach, tailoring therapy to the needs of the client.
Reaching out for support can be a very challenging task but it is also the first step to get you closer to living your preferred life. In therapy, we will work together to clarify your life's vision, explore what is getting in the way of you reaching your goals, identify what skills and strengths you have to overcome these barriers, while also learning new skills and ways of thinking. During this process, I am committed to creating a respectful space where you will feel heard, acknowledged, supported and understood. I work with clients of all ages, backgrounds and identities and strive to create a safe and inclusive space for all.

Using an eclectic approach, I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative therapy, among others.
Let's be real- life can get tough. You may be faced with challenges such as experiencing trauma or loss, navigating complex relationship or family dynamics, encountering discrimination at school or work, or overcoming financial stressors. These difficulties can be further amplified as a person of colour and being raised in an immigrant household. Naturally, hardships can evoke feelings of hopelessness, numbness, or anxiety. You may find yourself feeling stuck and unable to move forward. Or you may be relying on coping mechanisms that, while once helpful, no longer serve you, and struggling to break free from these habits.

In my eclectic approach, I offer various strategies and techniques from Transactional Analyses/CBT, Gestalt Therapy, Family/Couple Therapy, Psychodrama and Transpersonal Therapy.
Unfolding, experiencing and living our authentic selves is what I am passionate about. I am highly skilled in guiding clients in accessing and exploring obstacles that are results of our deeply rooted beliefs. Unquestioned beliefs or limiting thoughts that can manifest as anxiety, depression or other psycho-emotional difficulties can actually be guiding lights on our journey to our true Selves. The essence of our being remains untouched as we grow and is waiting to be found and reconnected with. When you connect on a deeper level with your Self, your purpose, gifts, and talents show in their fullness and potentials show up.

I choose to work from an eclectic & flexible framework, so I can honour your unique experiences of marginalization, oppression, & intersectionality.
You’ve probably spent a lot of time trying to fix things on your own, but maybe you’ve reached a point of exhaustion. You might be feeling overwhelmed, self-critical, & alone. You don’t know what else you can do to make yourself feel better, or how to keep up with the challenges you’re facing. Maybe there are cultural & social challenges that are making your situation worse. Maybe you're tired of running around in circles & have made the decision to see a counsellor so you don’t continue to feel like you’re “going crazy”.

Whether I use a specific modality or an eclectic style of counselling to create the ideal treatment program to meet your specific needs and personality, my approach is always culturally responsive, person-centred and strength based.
Life is full of challenges. We don't always have a choice what challenges we face. But we can choose how we view or overcome these challenges. I believe that we each have our own reserve of resilience waiting to be tapped into. Most of the time we have the strength to face these challenges. Sometimes we reach out to our friends and family for support and that is all we need. At other times, these challenges can overwhelm us and our system of support. We feel alone and helpless. When you are ready for change, let me support you in embracing your challenges and turn them into opportunities to learn something new about yourself.

I use an eclectic approach to healing, providing support from a holistic, person-centred, biopsychosocial lens.
Our lives are not entirely defined by what has happened to us but rather by how we choose to make sense of it and who we choose to be as a result. My vocation and commitment to supporting individuals to overcome adversity, trauma, and problems in living are rooted in the Ubuntu philosophy. Providing support across all age groups, I promote inner self-discovery and self-mastery. I offer unique individual-specific approaches to empower self-actualization by challenging unhelpful beliefs, improving self-concept, working through painful experiences, accessing resources, and changing unhealthy habits to live more authentically.

With an eclectic use of therapeutic frameworks, my work is client-centred to meet the unique needs of each client.
Sometimes in life we can feel stuck - stuck in the way we think, the way we feel, what we do, what we don't do. It happens to all of us because we are human, and something is calling our attention to change or shift things. This can be overwhelming, saddening, frustrating, downright unpleasant. Therapy can provide the opportunity to reflect on what we're experiencing and create new ways of being - from a place of "stuckness" we can create movement.

To better support you, I draw on eclectic therapeutic approaches including EMDR, ACT, DBT-informed, Narrative Therapy, among others.
Accepting new clients! Our brain and body can protect us from danger, but when the pain becomes too much for us to handle, we can often feel stuck and unable to move forward. When we are struggling more than we can cope, it is easy to feel isolated, powerless, and hopeless. You don’t have to do it alone. I will hold and provide a safe space for you, and together, we will honour all parts of you and determine your unique path to healing. While healing looks different for everybody, it is my goal to assist you in embracing your true self.

My approach is person-centered and eclectic.
What are you hoping for? What's on your mind? Life is full of challenges and changes. Life transitions can get messy, making decisions is difficult, and choosing yourself is sometimes the hardest thing you can do. I imagine if you're reading this, maybe you feel curious, or maybe scared, or stuck. I could name a million feelings and still not strike the right one, but I am here to listen as you share. Naming those feelings, and recognizing the behaviours and thoughts that keep you going back to them, is part of the process we could work on together. Therapy is not linear and it can feel puzzling. Taking the first step is never easy.

Our approach to therapy will be person-centered and eclectic.
Life can bring with it successes and challenges; regardless of how we define it. Success allows for celebration while challenge allows for growth and opportunity to heal. We can experience a range of emotions including sadness, hurt, guilt, self-doubt, helplessness, hopelessness, anger, despair, anxiety, loneliness, and grief; which ultimately leave an impact on our well-being. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. YOU are enough and together we can heal. Therapy is exercise for our emotional well-being that kickstarts our journey of self-acceptance, autonomy, purpose in life, positive relations, and happiness.

Eclectic Counsellors
Many practitioners take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing upon various aspects of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic methods to create their own custom-made approach. Such therapists often work with their clients to create a treatment plan that encompasses different techniques to best address the client's particular problems and to appeal to their sensibility.
