I practice sex therapy, individual therapy, and couples therapy in southeastern Wisconsin. I also specialize in family building, queer families, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting. I help clients ages 15-75 with issues in individual mental health, sex and sexuality, relationships, and family dynamics. Areas in sexuality I help people with include dissatisfaction with sex, sexual pain, desire and arousal issues, out of control sexual behavior, difficulty with orgasm, healthy sex after trauma, polyamory, swinging, kink, gender & orientation discovery. Hello! I'm Abby. My counseling experience includes providing individual and group counseling for clients with depressive and/or anxious symptoms due to past trauma or current stressful situations and relationships. I enjoy working with individuals who seek ways to feel safe in their bodies and be empowered in their personal and professional relationships. I founded my private practice on the principle of helping others create the life that they want. Often times that means resolving past trauma or issues that stand in our way. I see sensitivity as a strength, not a deficit. As a therapist, I work hard to help my clients understand that oftentimes the parts of themselves that they view as weak are really their greatest strengths. The stories we tell ourselves about ourselves are very important. They are the lens through which we view everything- they color our world. The problem is that a lot of the time the narratives we have about ourselves are simply not true.
