Trevor D. Taylor, PsyD, is a Clinical Psychologist practicing Health Psychology at the Westside Medical Clinic (Tanner Clinic). Dr. Taylor describes Health Psychology as the interplay between medical illnesses and mental health symptoms, including depression, anxiety, stress, and poor adjustments. He meets with patients who are diagnosed with medical illnesses to provide therapies and treatment to help prevent, manage, and cope with conditions. Dr. Taylor also conducts Psychological Evaluations for differential diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and pre-surgical (Bariatric and Spine Stimulator Implants).

Jennifer R. Cardinal, Ph.D., is a doctoral level psychologist with areas of specialization in neuropsychology, school psychology, and autism. She is licensed as a psychologist and is also nationally certified as a school psychologist by the National Association of School Psychologists. Dr. Cardinal completed a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology Counseling and Guidance from Brigham Young University and later completed a Doctorate Degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology. She was a school counselor at Salt Lake School District and spent several years as a school psychologist working at Jordan and Davis School districts.

Over the past 16+ years of full-time practice, I have developed a strong commitment to helping adults, children and teens heal from anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. Since completing my formal training in 2008, I settled in Utah, where I have worked extensively with adults suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety and traumatic brain injury (TBI). A family-based treatment approach is very important, as the whole family needs to be involved.

I evaluate children, teens, & adults with questions of ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and related emotional dysregulation and problems in functioning. Families can experience major frustration in finding interventions that are individualized to people’s unique needs: going through years of therapy and not feeling any better; getting conflicting feedback from other clinicians; having several diagnoses that don’t seem to align with what you’re going through; treatments that don’t seem to get you to your goals. Having a clear diagnosis is key in establishing a treatment plan and supporting interventions that are a good fit.

I love working with clients (especially children, adolescents, and families!) from diverse backgrounds who are looking to find answers and solve any issues they may be struggling with. I am passionate about my work and believe in radical acceptance of all people. I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative psychologist. As a mother of five children, I understand many of the issues that families face and I strive to be a caring, upfront, and empathic psychologist who helps clients work toward achieving their goals. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been in private practice since 1981. I focus treatment on the needs of the client to help them come to terms with the issues they are struggling with and to help develop an understanding of their human potential. I also have a very strong background in divorce issues, custody problems, and helping the client to work through issues that they can address and change. Each individual is unique, with unique needs, and this is the focal point of treatment. I work well with both voluntary and court ordered clients.
