Hi, I am Jinnelle V. Powell, the Owner and Founder of Distinctive Counseling and Consulting. Our Distinctive Counselors are highly skilled and ready to help you navigate life's challenges. My name is Yvette Martinez, a dedicated therapist specializing in play therapy services tailored for children, adolescents and young adults. My expertise in this field was honed through an enriching two-year internship under the guidance of a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). As a practitioner, I offer comprehensive parenting support, engaging with you periodically to explore your child's play, address your concerns, and discuss any questions you may have regarding your child's developmental progress. Please note that, currently, I do not have after-school appointments and am not conducting face-to-face sessions at this time.

My work experiences include Residential Behavioral Health, Elementary Schools, and Child Advocacy Centers. With these experiences, I have gained knowledge of child and adolescent trauma and the full family dynamic.

Hi, my name is Cara. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas, certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with more than 25 years experience providing individual therapy. I earned a BA degree in psychology and an MS degree in counseling and educational psychology, from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi, in 1997. I have had a private practice since 2005, while also working in psychiatric hospitals, outpatient facilities and correctional facilities. I am able to see clients, all over the State of Texas, through a HIPAA compliant confidential video link, a very convenient way to get therapy.

Serving in many countries and theatre’s, Antwine encountered many different cultures, in various war-torn, under-developed, and impoverished communities. Earning his Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, his interest include other cultures, customs and traditions.
