About
I approach counseling with a biological, psychological, sociological, holistically, and Christian viewpoint in order to help couples, families, and individuals reach goals. I have worked with a wide range of people that struggle with personal and family issues. I specialise in Trauma/Abuse using the EMDR Therapy modality. I am working on my Doctoral Degree as a Family and Marriage Therapist. I have an extensive approach to the family system and focus on empowering people to manage and conquer dysfunctional behaviors.
I have been involved with mental health through volunteer, ministries, and mentoring programs long before becoming a therapist. I specialize in trauma and empowerment. I am a veteran and ex police officer. I am a mother of three grown children and spent most of that as a single mother. I am a grandmother of two beautiful boys.
I see problems as walls that keep people from living a full life with the reward of happiness. Counseling is about having someone helping you find a way through a problem with courage and fortitude.
