Foster, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who worked in counseling, coaching, teaching and consulting for over 15 years. Healing and discovery--a therapeutic journey that I walk side-by-side with my clients. I have a wide range of counseling and coaching experiences from educational institutions, substance recovery, and psychiatric hospitals.

In my work, I prefer to focus on what is happening right now to help you keep what is working and change what isn't... There are times we must remove some roots to help us move forward and we can do that in a safe environment. Working with a counselor who respects your values and life experience provides the potential for creating an atmosphere for growth further propelling the process of change.

It is my hope to meet you where you're at in your life journey. Asking for help or wanting to change can be an incredibly powerful step. It is my goal to walk alongside you and provide a safe space for growing and healing. It can be difficult to deal with life transitions at any age or stage.

I've worked with adolescence and families for around 25 years in a variety of settings. These settings include being a youth / children's pastor prior to starting my counseling journey. Much of my experience involves working with those that struggle with abuse, depression, relationship conflict, self harming behaviors, legal issues, and behavior problems. Although I am licensed to practice counseling through the State of Texas, I am a Christian and the fundamentals of my practice are in line with traditional Christian faith.

Whitney would love to assist you in beginning your healing journey. Whitney has experience in ministry, recovery programs, and other settings. Since beginning her counseling career, she has worked with a wide variety of clients from children/adolescent to adults. Whitney is passionate about helping clients who are working on healing from trauma. She loves working with teens and young adults who may be in transitional seasons or are facing overwhelming situations in their life. She also finds joy in walking with those who may be navigating difficult family circumstances and learning to find their place and purpose in life.

I have a passion to meet individuals, women, and adolescents where they are and walk with them through the struggles that life often brings. As your counselor, my hope is to create a safe environment for you to be yourself, in order to give you the space to process and talk through things you may not normally talk about with just anyone. I strive to walk alongside you and provide tools to help you move towards healing.

My ideal client is engage an individual/couple that seeks to gain insight for purpose to create positive meaningful change. My focus becomes to assist clients to break repeated patterns that cause feelings of anxiety, anger, and depression. My goal is provide my client with three personal growth dynamics from counseling: (1) Enlightenment; (2) Encouragement; and (3) Empowerment.

I use solution focused treatment, Acceptance & Commitment Therapies, as well as offering EMDR as an effective treatment for a broad range of issues. I guide clients in coping skills to become more relaxed, better able to process and regulate emotions. You may have experienced a loss, or trauma-I'll walk through the healing process alongside you. I am experienced in assisting clients suffering from many challenges, inclusive of trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, ADD. I am also experienced in connecting with young clients as they adjust to growth, and develop with greater confidence.

Tricilla is knowledgeable in adverse childhood experiences and how they affect the mind and body. She has experience working with troubled teens in the juvenile system as well as in the foster care system. Her passion is helping children through their trauma.

With over 30 years of experience, this counseling is conducted with expertise. A safe and nurturing environment makes it easy to open up. As we work together, solutions for your specific circumstance will become clear. Fees: $100 for 1 hour; and $50 for every additional 30 minutes.
