Life can seem overwhelming at times which can make it difficult to believe that happiness is possible or that goals are unattainable. It can be difficult to understand why there seems to be a constant feeling of sadness and hopelessness and not knowing where it is coming from or what is triggering the feelings. It is okay not to be okay but it is not okay to remain stuck there. We are all unique and valuable and deserve respect and kindness. I also believe that it is important for our feelings to be heard and validated.

Greetings and thank you for giving me the opportunity to describe my therapy practice! My approach is one where I see myself as a guide alongside you in your journey toward reaching your goals. You are the expert on yourself! I see my role in our therapeutic relationship as being able to help aid you in feeling understood, gaining insight, and learning new skills to manage the challenges you are going through and will go through in the future.

Whenever we experience interpersonal betrayal or abuse, we often feel as if we have lost a part of ourselves. We can experience a range of feelings such as shame, isolation and have difficulty offering ourselves compassion. After such pain, it can be hard to trust other people again as well as yourself. You may have trouble forming a healthy relationship with yourself and creating deep connections with other people. Together, we can create a safe space for you to find your voice, discover who you are, and build meaningful experiences again. My approach is to meet you where you are by working from your values and belief system.

For more than two decades, I've served as a counselor in various roles, as clinical director of psychiatric facilities, college counselor, private practitioner & clinical supervisor for counseling interns. I hold a master's degree in education with a specialization in guidance & counseling, as well as a Ph.D. in psychology.
