Welcome! I'm Dr Ed-PhD, Diplomate in Clinical Social Work from the University of Houston. In today's multicultural society, I provide a safe space for individuals to explore their values and strengths and feeling supported. Therapy goals are a joint process between the client and myself, the therapist. I assist with identifying presenting problems, while we collaborate on identifying goals to address the problems according to the client. Sometimes a client may just need some guidance on life decisions, or support getting through a tough time. Whatever the journey I'm here to help the client navigate through this process. Clients may need to see a new way of doing things in order to get to the next phase of life.

We are caretakers of our Boomer parents and our Gen Z children. We make a difference in the world, it's time to make a difference in ourselves. Gen-Xers and Millennials are a breed of their own. We are known for resilience, independence and forward thinking.

As a LPC, I have been gifted to operate as a Counselor and I do not take my gift lightly. My goal is to be the voice for those that have never been allowed to speak up for themselves, those that have never realized the beauty they possess and especially those that have never realized their full potential in life. It is a wonderful thing when an individual realizes their worth and begins to walk in it; that is the beauty of Pearl's of Wisdom seeing the metamorphosis of the client base. Being able to observe a client walk into their destiny is fulfilling and what I strive for on a daily basis.

I love working with women to uncover their personal gifts and strengths so they can heal, grow, and make deeper connections. Mothering, mother-daughter dynamics, life transitions, sex/intimacy, bringing play back into your life, & relationships are women’s issues I enjoy working with. I also work with HSPs (highly sensitive persons), TCKs (third culture kids), cross-cultural workers, and professional athlete’s wives (and other career dominated marriages). I’ve always been drawn to growth and strength-based approaches, and I use the research-based and highly successful theories of Drs. John & Julie Gottman for couples counseling.

I have over 10 years of experience in the field of psychology and counseling. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral therapy but I use an eclectic approach. Dr. Jocelyn Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has over 16 years of experience working in the mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse fields. Dr. Jones works with the adult and geriatric community and loves to share words of wisdom with individuals to find clarity and ways to cope and overcome life stressors. Her counseling specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, spirituality, bereavement; grief, loss, alcohol, and drug abuse, and much more. Dr. Jones has a Doctoral degree in Professional Counseling with a concentration in trauma, grief, and loss, in addition to holding two Master's.

I am a licensed psychological associate in Texas with over 4 years of experience providing individual, family, and group counseling; administering and interpreting psychological assessments; and formulating psychological reports for private clients of various ages and for preschool and school aged youth as referred by local school districts. Through consulting within the school system, it is here where I identified a great and immediate need for youth mental health intervention. I took a 4 year break from practicing psychology to become a full-time middle school math teacher to help meet this mental health crisis among local youth.

Deanna completed her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
