My therapeutic philosophy involves utilizing a holistic approach incorporating Gestalt and Adlerian therapies. As a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in athletes, children, adolescents, and young adults, I frequently work with clients experiencing issues related to poor sport or school performance, life changes during adolescence, life transitioning from college to career, parenting issues, sibling relationships, and divorce family transitioning. Topical issues may include low self-esteem , ADHD, transitioning from athletic identity, peer relationships, anger management, self-mutilation, eating disorders, and self-empowerment. A fundamental element in my approach is establishing the therapeutic relationship through rapport and building trust between the client and the therapist.

At Lovejoy Counseling we work with adults, adolescents and children to improve whatever areas of their life they are wanting to work on. Our mode of therapy is Cognitive Behavioral. Our areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, adolescent issues, parent training, lack of motivation and negative thinking.

Hello and welcome to my page. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist serving clients ages 12+ with concerns such as mood disorders, trauma, addiction/recovery, relationship issues, women's issues, coping, grief, and loss.

I hope to be someone you can seek support from, but who can also help to guide you to feel more in control, more grounded, and better able to face everyday stressors that pop up along the way. I believe we all have the power to grow from challenges; we just need the right guidance and space to do so. I love walking alongside clients to help them navigate these challenges.

I approach therapy as a partnership with my clients in which you are the ultimate decision-maker and I work with you to clear away obstacles and identify opportunities. My clients have successfully overcome or depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, marital stress, parent-child difficulties, domestic violence, substance abuse, bipolar disorder, and anger issues. My specialties include working with the lgbtqia2s+ community and working with teens!

I have experience working with clients who are going through grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression, spiritual abuse, racial identity, familial relationships, peer relationships, and romantic relationships.
