I offered many years to working with children, adolescents, parents, and families through child protective services, rape crisis centers, shelters, neighborhood centers, and adoption centers. I am experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders including PTSD, Depression, Trauma, Anxiety, & Psychosis including the management of other symptoms that stem from family/ relationship conflict, social difficulties, poor school performance, and violence/ abuse.

I love working with "quirky" kids and am skilled at assessing children who have complex behaviors. I have experience working with early childhood disorders, social skills, parenting, and school issues. I specialize in comprehensive evaluations and devising treatment interventions for Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disabilities (reading, writing, math), Dyslexia, Developmental Delays, Anxiety, Depression, and much more. In addition to being a Licensed Psychologist (LP), I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP).

I have worked in the public school setting for over 15 years providing behavioral consultation and social skills counseling to children with autism, ADHD, and emotional/behavioral difficulties. Jamie Dock is an LPC Associate under the supervision of Dr. Rick Ertell, LPC-S, EdD. Jamie has experience working with people ages 7 and up struggling with anxiety, adjusting to life transitions, and dealing with day-to-day stressors. Common goals Jamie has helped her clients achieve include exploring and increasing use of healthy coping skills, understanding complex emotions, and improving self esteem. One of the things Jamie values the most in her work is building a trusting therapeutic bond with her clients. While establishing and achieving goals help us to move forward, sometimes we need to feel listened to and understood.
